Paris is the capital of France and capital of the Île-de-France. Known throughout the world such as Ville Lumière (the "city of lights"), Paris is renowned for the beauty of its architecture, its avenues and its views, as well as an abundance of museums.
Built near the Seine, and divided into two parts, the Right Bank to the north and the smaller Left Bank to the south of the river, Paris is composed of 20 districts (arrondissements) and 80 districts, we can deduce is extremely difficult to visit in one weekend, especially without the use of public transport. Fortunately, the city is densely covered by a metro system, the Métro (14 lines) as well as a large number of buses and trains.
