Avenue des Champs-Elysées: a prestigious avenue in Paris!

If you think of Paris, you immediately imagine the beauty of the Champs-Elysées.

Book your accommodation in Paris not too far from this amazing avenue and start your tour from its top: the Arc de Triomphe.

The arch was built by Napoleon to celebrate his victories: twelve streets meet at this roundabout.

This famous avenue was originally fields and market gardens.

Since the 17th century it has undergone lots of transitions and has become more and more fashionable.

It’s the widest street in Paris and stretches for almost 2 kilometers away from Place d’Etoile to Place de la Concorde.

The avenue des Champs-Elysées means greenery, palaces, fountains, footpaths and Parisian landmarks, such as the Arc de Triomphe.

This avenue also reflects another important aspect of Paris: entertainment.

Here you have plenty of choice to relax and have fun: nice cafés and restaurants, movie theatres and even the world’s most famous cabaret!

And remember that two major celebrations are held on the Champs-Elysées: on New Year’s Eve and on July14th ,a national holiday to celebrate the beginning of the Republic government in France!
