Stencil Art in Paris

Walking through the Latin Quarter of Paris, between old book stores and second hand clothes shops, it's easy to be fascinated by scents and colours, but it is also easy to find original drawn on walls. Jef Aerosol, Blek le Rat, Miss Tics, and Jero Mesnager are the names of some  great street artists who in the early 80's have started a particular form of street art, that of the stencil.
In the eyes of those who still manages to fly with the fantasy, these stencils reveal their true nature: living works that exist and resist to time interacting with the real world in a dynamic and ironic way.
Of course, like all works of art, these designs have the ability to open out in front of the observer taking the most varied forms of interpretation. The stencil art in Paris perfectly embodies the style of street art. For those who want to know more, there is an interesting reference site full of pictures and videos : bleklerat.free.fr / stencil graffiti.html.
Find a BBParis  and while walking on its streets admire the stencil art of the city.
